sure, this hat was for my 3 year old daughter, the material piece I used was about 23 inches long by 21ish inches tall. I measured her head around and it was 21 inches so I added 2 inches because with rolling it up you will lose a little space.

WOW, that’s amazing! It’s a very professional looking hat, without a single piece of thread! I’m considering trying this out myself… awesome job!

@Sinesith thanks, you will have a lot of fun making this. My kids each had a few, and I loved when people admired them, telling them that I made them myself.

Awsome!… Some people would probably say , hey the baby is in the way, but I love it. litterly had your hands full and still made this fast and easy. My hat is off to you. I know the people I am giving them to will love them. I have been crocheting for months and needed a little extra gift and you make it possible. Thanks so much, I am now a groupy of yours, lol

I make and sell fleece fringe-tied throw blankets. Now I am going to be making these hats and scarves to sell, as well. Thanks for the great videos!

I am making hats for a benefit. A 2 y/o was just recently diagnosed with cancer. Just curious on recommendation for size of hat to make for age range 2-6 y/o that might purchase these hats.THANKS!

Hey, I was just watching this video and am about to make my own hat. When you were filming the ‘gluing’ part, iIt looks as though you glued from top to bottom, but in my case, I’m sewing the hat. I’m also going to have the piece that shows the seam on the side of my hat instead of in the back. So, I’m thinking that I’m going to need to leave roughly 4 inches UNSEWN on the top for the fray. Think this will work?

@Rawrbugg1221 I think that would be great

I have looked at this video 20 times to understand the brim. When I made one the brim is wrong side out and the seam also shows which does not look very nice in my opinion. Am I missing something? I love your videos!

@beverlywestheimer nope your not missing anything. The way I do it here is that you roll it up and inside out is showing, seem is also showing in the back. As a variation, you could fold the bring underneath, like inwards, and not have a roll up, there would then be no inside out, and no seem showing, just be sure to leave enough fabric so it is still long enough when folded up. Thanks for watching!

I was just wondering, if i didnt want the bits at the top (the frilly bits) how would i go about doing that so its just like a normal benie? great vid btw ^_^

@Z0mb13Fluff I’m not sure how you would do that unless you just folded the sides into each other and glued them maybe? The tieing is what closes the hat together at the top.
